Your Heat Pump Journey
See what a heat pump really costs after the SEAI grant, and whether your home is ready today or needs a step first.
How we work these figures out : built on SEAI data, not guesswork ▾
Real national data
Typical BER & figures come from SEAI’s published dataset of over a million real Irish BER assessments, grouped by home type, era and county.
Building-regs logic
Irish building regulations tightened in known steps (1979, the ’90s, 2008, 2011), so build era strongly predicts heat loss. The 2.3 “ready” mark is SEAI’s own published rule.
Published grant amounts
Grants are the official SEAI Better Energy Homes figures: up to €12,500 for a house / €9,500 for an apartment. The price is simply our standard installed price.
Confirmed at your survey
This isn’t your home’s actual BER. Every home is different. Your free home survey confirms the real figures before anything is decided.

And your home is worth more
Drag to your home’s rough value, and we’ll show what a better rating could add. Why does the rating change the price? Better-rated homes sell faster and for more, and buyers get cheaper green mortgage rates on them.
Ready for your heat pump?
A free, no-obligation home survey confirms your exact figures, and we handle every bit of the SEAI grant paperwork.
All costs, savings, BER improvements, heat-loss estimates, payback periods and value estimates are indicative guides for a typical home of this type and age. Your exact figures are confirmed at your free survey and (where required) a technical assessment by a registered SEAI advisor, which we arrange. The heat pump grant follows the SEAI Better Energy Homes scheme (up to €12,500 for a house / €9,500 for an apartment; fabric-upgrade grants are separate SEAI measures with their own eligibility) and assumes a home built & occupied before 2021 that you own; grants are paid by SEAI, not The Powerhouse. Home-value uplift is an indicative market estimate, not a valuation. Nothing on this page constitutes a quotation, offer, contract, or a guarantee of grant approval, eligibility, costs, savings or timescales. All work is subject to a site survey and a written quotation from The Powerhouse, and grant decisions rest solely with SEAI. Errors and omissions excepted. Private: your answers stay in your browser; nothing is stored or sent.
